Choreography

Choreography is the art and practice of designing sequences of movement, most commonly in dance but also applied to disciplines such as figure skating, gymnastics, and cheerleading. The term derives from the Greek words for 'dance' and 'writing,' reflecting its historical role in recording and composing movement patterns. A choreographer typically develops steps, formations, and timing in relation to music, and works with performers through rehearsal to refine and stage a finished piece, whether for social dance instruction, competition, or theatrical performance.
